There are a number of off beat sites that are not just street art, but keep an eye out on what is going on in and on the streets of Bergen and around. This week we are just going to post a few you might want to check in on. Here is Svenn. Alway seems to be digging up little gems http://instagram.com/svennevenn

BSA has been busy trying to line up a few new walls to paint in Bergen. To-date we have three confirmed, two quite certain and a couple more maybes. Some are very nice prospects. If there’s some grey wall in your neighbourhood, who you’re gonna call?

The king is dead long live the king ;)
Nice little articale on the BT site about the amount of street art currently appearing in Bergen. It made a special note of Argus who lets face it is prolific and doing some fantastic work on the street. Anyone know when Dolk last did an actual piece of street art? Long live Argus

Axel Void

Next month we have a new street artist coming to visit Bergen and hook up with one of our own street artists. Here is a little bit about him.
Axel Void, whose roots lie in Haiti, Miami and Andalusia, is part of a generation of young painters who derive their dynamics from graffiti culture and urban art. He moves between murals, spray cans, installation, oil paintings, audio and drawings. Uncomfortable, unpleasant and difficult social issues dominate Axels work. Yet in these issues he looks to find precise statements, broken by beauty, even in the harshest conditions of daily life.Since 1999 Axel has been in contact with graffiti writing. Not long after he also got involved with contemporary art and studied in schools throughout Andalusia, Spain. Since 2010 Axel has be active on the scene in Berlin, where he currently resides.
